NFL week 4 Odds & Betting Tips
We preview the odds and betting and offer our tips and picks for the NFL week 4 matchups. There are some mouthwatering encounters. Donovan McNabb heads back to the Lincoln Field to take on his old club the Eagles and Baltimore play Pittsburgh in the collission of the AFC North giants.
Televised matches this week are Ravens @ Steelers and Skins @ Eagles both on Sky Sports. The late game is Bears @ Giants on C4 and the Pats travel to play the Dolphins in Miami on Monday Night Football.
Cowboys, Vikings, Chiefs and Bucs have a bye week.
Betting Tips
The New York Jets travel to Buffalo this week. Revis is an injury doubt but otherwise they have a full compliment. The hapless Bills are 0-3 and are sure to go 4 and out this week. Mark Sanchez is not the complete article by any stretch but he won’t have to do much. LT is starting to show some real form at running back alongside Green and the Jets defence is as mean as any in the league. The Bills did show signs of improvement when racking up 30 points last week in New England but with the absence of a top class receiver and an overdependence on 1 good running back they will be predictable and easy for the Jets to contain.
Tip 1: Jets to win @ 5/11 with either Paddy Power or Ladbrokes.
Chicago Bears travel to the New Meadowlands for the late game on Sunday. Jay Cutler has had an excellent start to the season. A win over Dallas in week 2 was followed by a close fought win over the Packers last Monday. The Packer did concede 18 penalties in total, a franchise record, but Chicago were really on their game and put huge pressure on Rodgers at key moments. The excellent running back duo of Matt Forte and Chester Taylor provide excellent weapons. The Bears are short of a high class WR to stretch the field but Devin Hester on special teams is a real gem, a potential game winner. The Giants do not convince me this year any more than last. Their defence is very volatile and I expect death by a thousand cuts this weekend as Cutler and co have the ball for long periods and make slow and steady progress towards the endzone. Given the chance Manning and Bradshaw along with a very decent WR trio will inflict some damage of their own but whether they will see enough of the ball remains to be seen.
Tip 2: Chicago Bears to win @ 7/4 with Paddy Power, Ladbrokes or William Hill.
The Houston Texan are my third road pick this weekend. They travel to Oakland in week 4. Great improvements were expected from Oakland this year and they have a real rising start in Darren McFadden. This week though they should find themselves overpowered by a talented Houston Texan outfit who may have unearthed a huge talent in Arian Foster, the NFLs surprise leading rusher after 3 games. Matt Schuab is blessed with the services of Andre Johnson and, if Foster continues to deliver, they are real superbowl contenders.
Tip 3: Houston Texans to win @ 4/7 with Ladbrokes or William Hill.

Devin Hester on special teams is a real gem? 1 touchdown in 2 years! Chester Taylor an excellent weapon? He gets no carries, only has 7 attempts for 15 yards in his last two games! HAHAHA
Eddie. I think you’ll find that Devin Hester is just about the best punt returner in the game. The reason he has less opportunity to return the ball to great effect is because they kick it short and high so as not to give him any running room. Admittedly he is not returning kickoffs yet this year yet(Danieal Manning is). If he gets a chance to do that I have no doubts he’ll do a good job.
The Bears needed to throw the ball a lot in the last 2 games. Taylor will get plenty of attempts in the coming season and will no doubt catch about 50 balls as well. He’ll have 1000 yards before the season is out and for a back up RB to Forte that’s pretty good. Either way I think that the Vikes will come through to claim the division.
As for the general demeanour of your comment and the tone of ‘hahaha’, it’s not appreciated. I am not claiming to know it all and never will. I’m just a geezer trying to make a few pennies betting. You seem to have an opinion on your NFL and if you have any betting tips I’ll be glad to hear them.
U think Taylor will get 1000 yds? HAHAHA! WOW! Hell get goal line carries at d very best, no yards to be got. He has 30 over 3 games, how u reckon hell get 1000 on d season when Forte is the third down receiving back is crazy stuff altogether. Ill bet u any money u want that he wont pass 1000 yards combined. Any money!
Ya Hester is a good returner – best in the NFL? NAH DONT THINK SO! Try Reggie Bush, Josh Cribbs, Percy Harvin etc.
The fact u consider Foster a surprise too is hilarious. Every lad and his granny knew about his prospects comin into d season with Tate injured.
Clueless
Taylor has 97 yards you clown. any money? if this isn’t an empty gesture give me a price to reflect the ‘crazy stuff’ comment or an o/u line.
arian foster was an undrafted free agent agent and ran for 257 yards all of last year. what is wrong with saying that 406 rushing yards in 3 games makes him a surprise? your granny must be a real genius because I for 1 thought that he wouldn’t put up 406 yards in his 1st 3 games.
Since you’re obviously a genius on NFL want to write some tips on the site. Let’s do a h2h me and you.
